Tell The Birds is a project designed by artists Amanda White and Lydia Burggraaf that attempts to communicate with birds using signs designed by you, and made by us with special uv-reflective paint that birds can see, but humans cannot.

We share our space with birds everyday and yet we have no way to communicate with them...This project asks: if we could communicate with birds, what would we say?

Tell the Birds is an ongoing collaborative project which currently exists online at tellthebirds.com. Tell the Birds is a participatory project focusing on understanding the difference between bird and human vision and reflects on the anthropocentricity of our perceptions of the visual experiences of other animals. Participants in the project are asked to take part by submitting sign designs for birds to look at.
